I am happy to report that we are now carrying Murray’s All Natural Chicken and Wolfe’s Neck beef at our new locations (Wolfe’s Neck starting Thursday at latest). It has been a long time coming and I appreciate everyone’s patience as it is always a long process finding the right partners.
These folks have it nailed and they are a pleasure with whom to work. All natural, hormone and antibiotic free, and certified humanely raised right around the corner in PA. They have a pretty cool thing as well called Farm Verification – you can take the code off of the package and enter it on their website. Wait a few moments, and they will tell you exactly the farm from which it came. Fun!
Wolfe’s Neck – Eleanor and Lawrence Smith got it going back in 1940 on the coast of Freeport Maine by developing a 600 acre farm focused on sustainable farming practices. They purchased their first 17 cows in 1959 and created a market for natural beef direct off the farm. The all natural program is now open to satellite farms, which now total 150 and an aggregate 100,000 acres. Their beef is of the highest quality and we are excited to serve it to you all.
