Nature's Pride Hearty Wheat Flax Bread

Posted Mar 19 2011 12:00am
Good Evening and Happy Saturday!

I have had an absolutely fabulous day today. The sun was the shining and it was the kick off of the Farmer's Market season. We ate beautiful and healthy food, enjoyed the sunshine, took a huge walk and just had a great time hanging out and spending quality time together.

I will tell you more about the Farmer's Market in the next post but want to spread the news about some fantastic new bread from Nature's Pride first. As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker's program I was sent a sample of Nature's Pride newest variety of all-natural bread, Hearty Wheat with Flax.

  • 100% Whole Wheat Bread made with Pure Olive Oil
  • Good Source of Omega 3-ALA
  • 22 grams of Whole Grains
  • Good Source of Fiber
  • A nutritious bread with only 100 calories per slice

I was trying to come up with something creative to make with the bread to wow you guys but was actually craving the Classic Almond Butter and Tangerine Marmalade Sandwich and decided to go that route today.   I know this Classic may not be the most exciting sandwich but it is the Best!

A good sandwich is all about the ingredients and Nature's Pride Hearty Wheat with Flax was the perfect base for this classic sandwich.

I debated toasting the bread for a crunchy sandwich but decided to keep with the soft and squishy version.

Delish!
This truly was a tasty sandwich.  The bread tasted great and has a nice nutty flavor as well as being soft and moist.  And you can't go wrong with Almond Butter and Tangerine Marmalade.
Yum.
I was going to try and eat just half of this sandwich and save the rest for later but it was far to tasty to wait.  I pretty much goobled this up in no time and am looking forward to bringing one with me to the airport.
I have some other ideas for breakfast and will share them soon.
Have a great evening and I will check back tomorrow.
