Guys and Gals!
I've missed you! It's been a week since my last post and I've done so much since then yet I can hardly put together how all those hours have been spent. One of those busy weeks where you've packed so much in it's hard to separate the days. I know you well and truly understand!
I have another couple of very busy days ahead but then Sunday I am looking forward to some breeeeeeathing time. I asked (I should probably say "told" really...) my partner to think of something for us to do together on Sunday but firmly err..."suggested" that it must include two things - fresh air and LOTS of walking and movement. He has the parameters now so I am looking forward to pretty much anything he plans which involves those two things! I haven't even fit in any real movement this week...slap on the wrist for me I know (my poor lymphatic system)...so I really can't wait to move this ol' temple of mine!
So this post I thought I'd share a few snaps with you of some recent eats. As always, all have been super-nourishing, super-cleansing and superhero-supporting! We all know us healthy types become more superhero-like the longer we cleanse after all ;). Least it certainly feels that way!
The busy times of the last week have yet again proved testament to the ease of living a high raw cleansing lifestyle. A truly cleansing lifestyle has simplicity at its core, and when you base your meals around this concept, you will find it incredibly quick and easy to prepare satisfying meals with minimal ingredients. Varying up a few of your ingredients each day or even just adding one new/different ingredient to your favourite meals can provide all the variety and taste sensation you need while still being extra easy and quick. Over the last week, for instance, I have enjoyed guacamole probably about 4 times. Now you all know I love my guacamole but even I like to keep things interesting with some new additions and variations to my beloved guac. You'll see in the photos below that I have enjoyed my favourite simple raw meal not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR different ways this past week. A pro photographer I am not, as is evidenced by these happy snaps, but you will still get the general drift ;). Enter the versatile, the quick, the easy, the delicious star of the show - Guacamole!
A Herby Guac' with 3 types of fresh herbs - parsley, coriander (cilantro) and basil...

A GORGEOUS guacamole mixture of avocado, lemon juice, finely sliced fennel and celery pieces, cayenne pepper, sea salt and dried dill...

I enjoyed
my Hearty Guacamole Salad again...

And of course
more Guacamini, my new favourite soup/dip double up...

Many times I loved up some chopped veg crudites on the side. This time it was carrot sticks and raw sweet potato "chips". Trust me, if you haven't got all over the raw sweet potato yet, now's the time. It's yummo...

So that's been the food. YUM! On a side note, I LOVE Damien Rice. My man and I both do. It probably helps that my partner Alan is Irish and well, despite being Aussie, I look more Irish than anything else. Not sure where the blonde, blue eyed, tanned Aussie look went when it came time for me to hit this physical plane of existence. It's often a joke between Alan and I that he moved to Australia ready to meet an Aussie lady and what do you know, he met me....a woman who looks more Irish than most of the Irish lassies he knows back home ;). Anyway, it was about 6 months ago when Alan came across this
awesome video on You Tube of this briliant, talented duo doing a fantatsic rendition of Damien Rice's song "Nine Crimes". Watch it for the beautiful voices and spirit just bursting off these two, but even more fun, check out the brilliant twist at the end. Sing along and enjoy :).
Here's that link again.

P.S. Is it just me or is
"Mr Wendall" by Arrested Development one of the greatest, funkiest songs of all time or what?? I know you agree! :)
