These days, the concept of getting a balanced diet is little more than a truism, but what about getting your daily dose of vitamins through a more conventional source: Mom's trusted multivitamin? According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, children and pregnant women, more than others, need a huge amount of vitamins, which is where a prescribed multivitamin could come in handy. While most of us get our fair share of vitamins from a balanced diet, multivitamin supplements are useful for the maintenance of a healthy, toxin-free body. In addition to kids and expecting women, people with health disorders that prevent them from absorbing all the nutrients in their food, as well as those with food allergies, could benefit from multivitamins.
