Month of Holiday Giveaways: The Cook Books You Can’t Miss!

Posted Dec 07 2010 6:48pm

My Mom and I are off to see Mary Poppins (can you say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?!) at the Civic Center tonight so in the meantime I present to you the second giveaway as part of the Month of Holiday Giveaways

You all know how obsessed I am with my slow cooker, but blogger Stephanie O’Dea of A Year of Slow Cooking took the concept to a whole new level. She cooked something different in her slow cooker everyday for an ENTIRE YEAR!

She turned her blog about that year into a New York Times Bestselling Cook Book, and will release her second book, More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: 200 Brand-New, Budget-Friendly, Slow-Cooker Recipes on December 28th. Well here’s your chance to win a copy before it’s even on the market!

A second winner will receive a copy of New York Times’ Food Columnist Melissa Clark’s cook book, In the Kitchen with A Good Appetite: 150 Recipes and Stories About the Food You Love , featuring 150 of Melissa’s favorite recipes including My Mother’s Lemony Pot Roast, Dahlia’s Fragrant Chicken Fingers and a whole chapter called “Things With Cheese.

I could get into that. ;)

Enter up to 3 ways by 5pm central on Wednesday, December 8th. Here’s how:

1. Tell me which cook book you’d like the most – the Slow Cooker Cook Book or the Good Appetite Cook Book.

2. Vote for my dishes on the Breakstone Blogger Challenge Website and leave another comment.

3. Easily share this post on Twitter or Facebook by clicking on either one of those links, which pre-fills the URL, and leave another comment.

Get ready to get cookin’ good lookin’! :D
