We have exactly two weeks until school starts and I want to try and make the most of it. The summer has whizzed by and although I am looking forward to this fall, I know that I will be A LOT busier so I am going to enjoy these last two weeks to the fullest. I want to do fun things with the kids (not sure what yet... ) and really take advantage of this extra sleep, the miracle drug.
I am again, enjoying a peaceful moment in the house, the kids and hubby are still asleep, and the dog has not even gotten up for any attention yet. I laugh because my dog "Gumbo" has a very elaborate stretching routine that he does in the morning, including a 'downward dog' and then comes and sits at my side while I blog. You gotta love your pets with their unconditional love, they really do bring joy into your lives.
As you can see from the above picture, I started out the week with my simple pleasure- Peanut Butter & Banana Ezekiel English Muffin. Really, is there anything better than PB & Banana? PB & Banana Ezekiel English Muffin
1 Food for Life Ezekiel 7-Sprouted Grain English Muffin 1 tablespoon Naturally More Peanut Butter 1 small banana, sliced
Toast, smear with Peanut Butter and top with sliced banana. Enjoy!
So I love, the Julie & Julia book by Julie Powell. I stayed up late reading it and find it such a nice change from my vampire/werewolf adventure. It is about food, love, life and I love her sense of humor. I have been checking out the local cooking classes and seems that the fall schedules will be out soon, but I am definitely going to take a few. I can't wait. My son, Emmet wishes that there were some classes we could take together and I do to... little foodies + big foodies clases. Not a bad idea.
Wow! I am looking out the window at the big gorgeous sun it looks very hot and almighty this morning. So onto today's agenda... well... I don't really have a formulated plan for today... hmm, kind of nice. I did see a "happy number" on the scale this morning but still not my personal goal weight, I basically need to give up my ice cream for that and it seems my stubborn little self is just not willing to do that for the sake of a little number on the scale. Life is short and I might as well enjoy it while I can! I don't think 2 lbs is going to make or break me, but maybe one day it will happen when I least expect it (like when I get sick from swine flu!)
I am going to teach Baby Boot Camp and then head home for my own workout. I have not figured that out either, I am debating between running + weights, kenpo or going to Bodhi Yoga for a class. I am off to get another cup of coffee to clear the cobwebs and make a plan for this wonderful Monday morning.
