Friday's lunch was the most amazing salad in history. Spinach, romaine, bell pepps, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, sprouted chickpeas and some delish citrus sesame dressing!
Then my pm snack was a great spread. I had some jicama crackers (sorry about the brightness of the pic) and squash rounds with garlic hummus, sun dried tomato hummus and olive tapenade. I didn't finish all those sauces...
But I did have half a pear with all that.
There were many an errand run and then dinner time!! I had a super tasty salad which was filled with spinach, romaine, bell pepps, roma tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, raisins, almond slivers and more citrus ginger dressing.
Along with the a ridiculously awesome wrap. This was filled with veggies and spicy almond sauce. I had one of those three pieces and the BF gobbled up the other two.
I was in a super-snacky mood last night for some reason and so I had a crust slice of ezekiel with almond butter and blueberry spread. My favorite snack ever!
We took the puppers to their training and they acted all smart and amazing for some treats, after which the BF and I went to have our treats! We went to fiji and got some froyo. I had a bit of yogurt with tons of fruit! Just the way I like it. Oh, and some carob chips for good measure!
When we got home, I waited til it cooled down and hit the jump rope. I found a super cool jump rope interval workout in one of my mags so I tried that out. It was very difficult, need some practice! Then the BF and I watched some of Grindhouse...it was pretty weird to say the least.
This morning was pretty typical bfast. I had the orange cinnamon chia pudding but this time I added some hemp in with it. It was beautiful. On the side was a slice of ezekiel with almond-hemp spread and fig spread.
And now on to some very fun news! The lovely folks over at Ola Loa sent me a 30 day sample of their Energy product to test out and review on the blog. I got three different amazing flavors to try out. This product has all the vitamins and minerals you'd find in a multi and more. It also has some extra amino acids and such. They also have a Sport product which I will have to try out if I like the Energy product! Today I started off with Tropical Flavor. I will keep you guys updated on how its working on my energy levels and such throughout the month.
I put this bad boy into my morning shake/slushie. It kinda imparts a fizzy kind of feel to the shake. It added a slight tropical flavored but mixed quite well. This smoothie turned out delish! 1/2 nana 3 mango chunks 3 papaya chunks 6 pineapple chunks 1 leaf kale 1 1/2 handfuls spinach 1 scoop brown rice protein 1 packet Tropical Ola Loa Energy 1 tbsp Cinnamon Orange Almond Milk 1/2 tbsp coco oil 1/2 tbsp ground flax 1 tbsp oat bran Cinnamon Water Raisins on top
After eating this bad boy, it was off to the gym for legs and some jump roping. My gym workout felt great! I had tons of energy and kicked some major booty! I have no clue if this was due to the Ola Loa, so I'll have to see how I feel the rest of the week after these.
