Mercury Levels on the Rise

Many Americans are finding out that their mercury levels are high. High levels of mercury over a lifespan can cause brain damage, vision impairment, muscle weakness, memory loss and mental disturbance. This has been linked to eating too much tuna and other types of seafood high in mercury.

So, what do you do if you love tuna? First things first, get your mercury levels down. Eating green leafy vegetables can help. Chlorophyll (found in these veggies) is the best way to detoxify the liver. Wheat grass is another one to try-most health food store juice bars now serve this up in a shot glass.  As for giving up the tuna sushi and sandwiches-substitute salmon in your spicy tuna roll and canned salmon on your sandwich.
