Grilling season is here so fire up the BBQ and get those steaks ready! While red meat provides an amazing amount of protein and iron into your diet, you don’t want to get sick from eating it. Too many people skip using a meat thermometer and ingest their meat undercooked. Just because it looks done doesn’t necessarily mean it is. Eating under cooked meat can result in E.Coli or other bacterias which equal a bad case of food poisoning. Go to www.fsis.usda.gov and download the “Is it done yet?” brochure for more tips and invest in a meat thermometer!
