This 242 Calorie Breakfast consists of a bowl of cereal, a bowl of mixed fruit and tea.
- A 1/2 or whole cup of Quaker Puffed Wheat cereal (1 cup = 50 calories) mixed with a 1/2 cup of your other favorite cereal of higher caloric value. Melissa recommends Kashi Heart to Heart or Fruity Cheerios. I would go with Kashi Organic Promise Strawberry Fields Cereal (1/2 cup = 60 calories).
- In addition to the hefty bowl of cereal worth between 85 - 110 calories add a 1/2 cup of skim milk. I recommend Hood Simply Smart Fat Free Milk (1/2 cup = 45 calories).
- A small bowl of mixed cut-up fruit. Some good suggestions include; cantaloupe, honeydew melon, grapefruit, red grapes, apples, bananas. 87 calories. (1/2 cup strawberries = 25 calories; 1/2 cup honeydew = 30 calories; 1/2 cup cantaloupe = 27 calories).
