A friend of mine who watches her diet like a vegan hawk told me about Natural Food Work's and Farmer's Kitchen in Davis, CA (between the Bay Area and Reno or Tahoe -- depends where you are going).

Check this salad out: Bio-Regional Salad - Local Organic Mixed Greens, Local Organic Cherry Tomatoes, Local Organic Heirloom Tomatoes,Local Organic Peppers, Local Organic Cucumbers, Local Sweet Corn, Local Summer Squash, Local Organic Peaches,Local Organic Plums, Local Organic Cantelope, Local Strawberries, Local Organic Carrots, Local Organic Green Beans, Local Organic Onions, Local Organic Pickled Beets, and Feta or Local Free Range Hard-boiled Egg, Local Walnuts,
There is more to their menu, but I would order this salad for sure. How about you? You like the local angle?
