Listen to Your Body

Today was my off day from the gym, but I'm still feeling like I want to go. Maybe later? Probably not. Besides, I didn't have any magazines or anything to read at the gym anyway, so it wouldn't have been a very pleasant trip for me!



I woke up around 8am this morning! I must have been tired from doing nothing all day yesterday. Ha. I made my typical oatmeal with no pecans and no vanilla (ran out-its always something!) I didn't (and usually don't) finish all the pb that I added to the oatmeal. I'm trying to ween myself down a little. Its just so damn good!

I got home around 2ish and was sufficiently hungry for lunch. Once again, the oatmeal held me really well. I decided to have a sandwich for lunch. I usually don't because deli meat is kind of high in fat and sodium, so I try to steer clear of it. However, today its what I was craving, so I listened to my body and had one!



I had 2 slices of deli ham and 1 slice of cheddar cheese with deli mustard on a whole wheat bun. I would've put a ton of lettuce and/or spinach, but we're all out! I had kale chips and baby brussel sprouts w/ leftover Greek dressing on them. Altogether lunch was great. Really filling and not terrible for me. I always strive to get more veggies in my meals, so I was pretty happy with this lunch.
