This seems to contradict another story today that most of Britons meals are foreign (which often rely on more flavourings). Maybe its because people aren't making these meals from scratch - the ready-made versions and sauces don't require herbs and spices?
It's a shame though because actually people said their food was bland - and in my experience this can lead to weight gain. Food that is bland will never really satisfy you and you can then overeat as a result. When food has lots of flavour and/or is spicy it is far more satisfying to the senses and you are satiated more quickly and eat less. That's the theory and I have found it to be true.
Variety and flavour are vital to a healthy diet that can help you to manage your weight successfully. To find out more contact me for my free fact sheet 'Spice it up!'.
