Even drinking diet sodas has been linked with obesity, because the artificial sweeteners seem to had adverse effects on weight and are also questionably carcinogenic. At any rate, they have no nutritive value.
Here's a summary of recent research which identified what juices pack the most nutrients when compared to their calorie count.
Pink Grapefruit Juice came in first. The tart and tasty pink drink beat out orange juice by a small margin, which also ranked high. Pink grapefruit came out far ahead of the others, which rated in the following order: white grapefruit, pineapple, prune, grape and apple juice.
Juices that usually come in blends like cranberry, blueberry and pomegranate were not rated, but they are known to be high in antioxidants, even if diluted in a juice blend or cocktail. Be aware though that the word ?cocktail? trailing after your favorite juice means there is less than 30% actually juice in the drink?the rest is sugar water.
