Yes and yes. I don't suggest people do a cleanse until the weather is warmer- Spring is the perfect cleanse time. And a cleanse doesn't need a kit or a high price tag. A cleanse is really to unload your liver and give your body a bit of a rest and pick me up. The easiest cleanse is to eat steamed veg, brown rice, ancient grains and drink vegetable juices and lots of water for a week. Stay away from meats, dairy, cheese anything processed and anything containing gluten, sugar or additives. Bitter veggies like dandelion and kale are especially good for detoxing.

Rather than the occassional monthly, biannual, or annual cleanse, it is much better for you to cleanse daily. Daily detox is far superior for overall health and wellness. Those occasional cleanses put stress on the body's organs and can cause more harm in the long run.
Think about it. Would you let your garbage back up for a month or more? Would you let your toilet sit unflushed for a month or more? Why let the toxins in your body build up for longer than a day?
Of course, the key is to detox daily with natural health drinks that work with body's natural cleansing processes. These are very specific drinks, not usually found in stores. They contain properly processed whole food ingredients with live enzymes, chlorophyll (very important for transporting waste), and natural antioxidants that battle free radicals. Free radicals cause aging, and are the byproducts of toxins that need to be cleansed on a regular basis.
If you are going to spend money on a one-time cleanse, then it is a really good idea to follow up with daily cleansing immediately thereafter. Search online for daily detox with natural health drinks.
Be careful with mainstream cleanse fads. As a clinical nutritionist, my advice is to do it right and under the care of a skilled healthcare professional who can tailor it to your unique needs. Everyone has differnt detox abilities or lack there of. Also, the term detox and cleanse are used loosely in a lot of different circles and don't mean the same thing from one person to the next. I have a science guided cleanse I offer in my practice and if you would like to learn more about it feel free to schedule yourself for a complimentary Optimal Health Strategy Session by clicking this link.......https://my.timedriver.com/BZSXN
Hope to hear from you!

Perhaps a little late on the band wagon but a lot of my friends are interested in trying it out. How beneficial is a cleanse, really?! Is it something that could just be done without spending all the crazy money?
