Intriguing New Diet Book: YOU: On a Diet From the Hot Physicians Dr. Michael Roizen and Dr. Mehmet Oz

Just wanted to draw your attention to a new book now out, YOU: On a Diet, The Owner's Manual for Waist Management from the revered Dr. Michael Roizen and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Oprah favorites, who already brought you the highly accessible and wildly popular YOU: The Owner's Manual, which hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.
Amazingly, YOU: On a Diet has only been out for a little over a week (Oct. 31 was the publication date), but already sales are soaring. In fact, I just checked Amazon.com, and it's # 1 today.
For an idea of what to expect with Dr. Roizen's and Dr. Oz's new book, just listen to some positive remarks from Publishers Weekly:
"Back for another highly entertaining round of Biology 101, the team behind YOU: The Owner's Manual applies its signature wit and wisdom to food metabolism and nutrition. Roizen and Oz pack in a lot of material -- quizzes, 'factoids' and 'myth busters' along with diet and exercise plans, recipes and a two-week 'rebooting' program -- in bite-sized portions, giving readers a chance to absorb and apply what they learn."
Oh, I should add that both of these doctors have been very, very kind to me even though they didn't know me before.
Out of the blue, I approached Dr. Mehmet Oz to find out if he would look at my upcoming book SUGAR SHOCK! Much to my surprise and delight, his assistant said he'd look at it, and he endorsed it, saying, writing to me:
"Nice work, Here is a quote:
"Connie's work spills the beans on the shocking impact of simple carbohydrates on aging and quality of life--a double whammy for humanity."
- Mehmet Oz, M.D., co-author, YOU: The Owner's Manual"
His equally amiable colleague, Dr. Roizen, was also nice enough to reply to me when I asked him about someone I was thinking of hiring to help me do some book promotion. Not only that, but Dr. Roizen said that after SUGAR SHOCK! comes out, he'd welcome me on his terrestrial radio show, which airs on 33 stations every Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Yes, I have personal reasons to think these doctors are the cat's pajamas, but even if Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen hadn't replied to me personally, I still would be their fan, because their work speaks for itself.
As I found in YOU: The Owner's Manual, their book is friendly, compassionate, interesting and not at all preachy. And I love those factoids and "Myth or Fact?" sidebars.
You basically get an amiable bedside manner speaking to you from the pages of a book. (Well, now two books.) What more can you ask for than that?
