Ice Cream

Posted Oct 18 2007 4:50pm 4 Comments

Well, I love ice cream. It calls to me like a siren's song.

I have bought low fat, but that doesn't help much when I eat two

bowls of it. Any suggestions?

try weight watchers 1 point giant fudge bars. They are filling and only 50 calories.
I've switched to Dreyer's Yogurt Blends. It's frozen yogurt, but I think blended w/ice cream? Not positive on the details, but it's much creamier than the low fat ice cream and feels rather indulgent. It's helped me tremendously, because I'm like you, I NEED some ice cream sometimes. :)
Try subsituting one bowl for something healthy. Frozen blueberries and yogurt are good. The blueberries freeze the yogurt and make it very satisfying

I like my ice cream too. :) What works for me, but it takes will power, is buy the ice cream I like and don't put it into a bowl, rather only scoop out what will fit on one spoon full. This way I don't feel bad about eating a lot of ice cream and I have it regularly since it's such a small amount.

You can also try frozen yogurt. There are a lot of companies that make creamy, delicious frozen yogurt, it's almost like ice cream.
