I have fibromyalgia and I am vitamin D deficient how much vitamin d should I take?

You need a blood test called 25(OH)D get the one from Lab Corp the one from Quest isn't accurate.  Start by taking 6,000IU per day for a few months, then get another test.  Optimum D is about 70, 50 is the lower limit of good anything over 100 is not necessary.   If your second test hasn't risen much increase your intake of the vitamin.   Buy the oil based vitamin D capsules, the dry tablets often don't do any good.   There is a lot of information here:  http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/releases.shtml
