This blog started from a simple interest- healthy eating. My passion for healthy food came long ago, before my “McDonald” life. It first started with my paternal grandmother. She introduced me, without me knowing it, to healthy eating by giving me no other choice but to eat my Grapenut cereal without sugar. Then she gave me the grapefruit without sugar. Of course as a young kid I opposed her idea and begged my mom to save me. -My other grandmother gave me Cookie Crisp and lots of other taboo kids cereal. But as I aged and grew wiser, I saw what my Grandma Sally was doing- trying to feed me her health-food. She did yoga, ate nuts and shopped at the strange grocery stores and I never thought I’d be like her. Surprise, surprise, now I’m the one offering cereal without sugar-but that’s not all I offer.
I want this blog to be a way I can help teach, show and introduce new ways of eating for all. My entries may seem simple sometimes and absurd others. That’s what it’s all about. Eating isn’t just pulling out the box of “food” from the cabinet and throwing it in front of ourselves or families. It is more! See what I am feeding my family. You might like what you see.
