Labo Day cookouts, tailgate parties, fall festivals and leftover Halloween candy (yours or your co workers). You're set up for holiday weight gain before the holidays even start. Then comes Thanksgiving, holiday parties, candies, Christmas feasts and the New Years Eve bash followed by a day of football snacks. How do you stay on track?
By sewing my jaw shut.. just kidding. i always gain five lbs at the holidays -- i.e. starting NOW with halloween. but i just lost 13 so i don't want to gain. i think i just have to really say no to candy
Just stay the same!. I once belonged to a gym that would have a contest of sorts. If you didn't gain weight during the holidays, you got a special prize pack. There were little personal care samples and beauty salon coupons, if I recall correctly.
They say the average weight gain from Thanksgiving until New Year's is 7 lbs. So, if you can just keep up with some mild walking and eat lean at your regular meals, you'll be fine! Remember, not ALL the meals during the holidays are feasts! So, be careful with the leftovers and the other junk that lays around the kitchen at this time.
