Food manufacturers are always looking for the next ?hot? fruit. According to Prepared Foods magazine and Body and Soul magazine, developers are moving away from the now ubiquitous pomegranate and onto other fruits. Goji berries, with their high amounts of vitamin C, A and fiber, Acai berries with cancer fighting antioxidants, Inca (I hadn?t hear of these) or ground cherries, with vitamins A, C, b12 bioflavonoids, and protein are high on the list. Also, nectarine is making itself renowned in products: it has 20% fewer calories than orange juice and it?s less acidic. Nectarines also have vitamin C, antioxidants, and phytonutrients.
