“Life’s a game made for everyone And love is a prize”. I keep thinking how much I like that quote and how it relates to my life. Especially now that I’m single and dating again.

I’ve debated talking about relationship stuff on my blog before, but everything I do seems to revolve around food, drinks, and love so I wanted to share my stories.

Yes, I am single again… Cooking for one. Not that it’s a bad thing, trust me-I love being single, but I love love, and I can’t wait to find that special someone someday. I’ve found love a couple times but with the wrong people. However, as I’m growing up, I’m realizing that everyone I meet teaches me something and has been in my life for one reason or another. But break ups are so hard, and this recent one has not been easy. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you may remember about three years ago I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years. It was definitely hard for me, but I moved on faster than I thought I would. I was so happy to be single, and I felt alive again.

I went through my fair share of single fun, and then I decided to get serious about dating. That’s when I met Ryan. I went on a couple dates with different guys, but Ryan definitely had my heart, and I fell hard and fast. It was a good 8 months, and we realized we were both great people, but maybe not great people for each other. And that was really hard for me to swallow. It hasn’t been easy, but as we all know..time heals all wounds. When you finally realize that the person you were dating was not right for you and that you WILL find love again and with someone that is right for you, it makes it a little easier. I learned so much from Ryan about life, and I’m so glad he was and is in my life. It makes me feel good to know I was able to find love after the first one, and I know it will happen again.

But I’m moving on and slowly starting to date again. The internet has made dating very easy, and I was thinking about the whole concept the other day. I feel like I’m on The Bachelorette. You can literally choose from hundreds of guys, and you can be as picky as you want, and really they are doing all the work to win you over. You really get to meet a wide range of personalities and some true characters. I’m so hopeful to find love, and I know it may not happen this way or anytime soon, but I do know it will happen when it’s meant to happen, and it’s fun to share my stories in the meantime…

And on that note, here are some pictures from a wonderful weekend with friends. House parties, Boozy Brunch, Crabs at Cantler’s in Annapolis, and girl time.
