Essential Oils have been around for centuries and of course are not only used for massage purposes. The benefits that essential oils provide vary immensely depending on the oil and ailment. Unfortunately, there is not enough room to list them all so, I’ve chosen a few to feature.
If you have an infant that is teething choose, a homeopathic remedy that contains chamomile. Chamomile is known for its calming effects and is safest when used in a cream or gel that is designed for teething babies.
If you suffer from athlete’s foot, instead of reaching for the over the counter products that don’t seem to work, reach for lavender essential oil instead. When lavender oil is mixed with garlic and tea-tree oils and rubbed on the area, relief will be noticed. Lavender essential oil also has a calming effect which is also used to reduce stress and help for sleepless nights.
If you suffer from chronic tension headaches and have found that conventional medications to be failing, you may want to consider using peppermint essential oil . A few drops can be massaged into the forehead and temples and allow a few minutes for the oil to penetrate the skin. You will be truly amazed at the results.
As you can tell, essential oils can be used for many different conditions and relief can surely be reached. Instead of reaching for an over the counter medication, consider using essential oils instead.
