Have trouble keeping portion sizes to what they should be over the holidays? Or maybe you don't know what they "should" be. Enter: the Plate Method, a simple but effective tool to help you keep Calories under control over the holidays, and year round!
Divide your plate into quarters. Half the plate should be vegetables, a quarter for protein (ie: turkey) and a quarter for starchy vegetables (potatoes) or grains (stuffing). Keep the gravy and butter to a minimum, and you've got yourself a dinner that won't keep you feeling weighed down until New Year's.
Enjoy your holiday and the delicious food! In moderation, of course.
