Before you jump on the ground turkey bandwagon, keep a couple of things in mind. First, just like ground beef, all ground turkey is not created equal. When you purchase ground beef you can get everything from 30% fat to 3% fat. That makes a huge difference. It's the same with ground turkey. Some is made with white meat only so it is much leaner. Some of it may contain ground dark meat as well and can be every bit as fatty as ground beef. Don?t just waltz into the store and grab any old package of ground turkey, make sure you watch the percentages. Second, consider what you are using it for.
