A lot of this (celery + peanut butter + various dried fruit):
And too much of this (fresh fruit):
But things are changing slightly. The food combining is here to stay, mostly, for now. Fruit and honey? Not so much. My body can’t handle sugar. My face has looked like a pizza since the second day I started enjoying fruit in the morning/afternoon and honey with anything. I do not believe it was a “detox” – the onset came immediately and stayed. It only got worse as I continued to enjoy more fruit. This happens any time I start eating sugar.
I love fruit and honey, but my skin does not. I’m also very bad at moderation. Fruit and honey (sugars, my addiction) do not work for me physically or mentally. I’m going back to my macrobiotic roots, but incorporating some food combining ideas as well as organic meats. I love a lot of the raw concepts, but I have to make things work for me. I almost decided to buy a juicer but I’m going to hold off.
This was dinner the other night – organic, grass-fed beef from Trader Joe’s (85/15, not so lean); tomatoes; cabbage; asparagus; garlic stems (Asian grocery store, frozen); a ton of spices; sauces (teriyaki, soy)… I think that was it? If you want a recipe I’d be happy to try to come up with something. It tasted like chili.
More than pictured, obvi. And PARMESAN! I don’t care if I’m allergic to dairy, I just can’t live without it sometimes. Bobby had his over rice with some cheddar. Mine was better.
As for a salad girl update … Email me (magpie707 at gmail dot com) if you want more details – I had a major thing happen last Sunday (a week and a half ago), but I got some answers and I’m on the mend. It was a long time coming and I kind of felt it, which is why I cut back on blogging for a bit. I’m also not commenting much, but I promise I’m reading. Just taking a step back. (Nothing to do with Bobby or anything, don’t worry! We’re still happily happily engaged.)
I have some other news, but that’s enough for now . I hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday! Has anything momentous happened to you recently? (Accidentally typed “monumentous” – apparently it’s not a word! The linguistics *hint hint* girl within me is shocked that *I* was using a word incorrectly. I’m sure I do it all the time though.)
P.S. Justine gave me this lovely award – the Honest Award
I’m supposed to list 10 things about myself and pass it on – the 10 things might happen in the next post, and I’m passing it on to all of my bloggies If you haven’t been tagged yet, you’re it!
