TUESDAY-July 22, 2008–New York City chain restaurants started to post healthy food choices and calorie information located on menu boards on Friday, reported the Associated Press.  McDonald’s and Burger King were among those that were on the list that began posting the new healthy food choices on their menu boards, that includes how many calories are in which menu items previously available on tray liners and online.  The action to post healthy food choices and calories has been tied up in court since may, but the new ruling states that any chain that fails to post calorie information will face fines of up to $2,000 per store.
