These peanut butter cookies, in their most basic form, have four ingredients that you most likely have at home. FOUR! That’s it! The recipe is so simple I have it memorized.
They take no skill and practically no time to prepare. They taste delicious. And you can change them up so you never have to make them the same way twice.
Use white sugar for a crumbly cookie, brown sugar for chewy or a mix of both for a happy medium. You can use creamy peanut butter or chunky peanut butter or even another type of nut butter just for fun.
I like to get crazy and add some chocolate chips to a few of the cookies. Let your imagination run wild.
Makes 1 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and beat well. Form into balls and flatten on
parchment paper lined baking sheet, using a fork to make a criss-cross
design if desired. Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes.
