Howdy!
(I kind of wish I could say that in real-life and not sound ridiculous. But I can’t, so I blog-say it instead!)
Today was a good day! Very packed, but productive at the same time.
I did a great LBWO today, the same as Thursday’s, but I went easy on my leggies this time… I didn’t want to kill them like I did last time!

I came home and made breakfast…
Try # 3 at Protein Oats!!
1/3 c oats, 2/3 c water, 1 scoop chocolate EAS pro powder, splash of almond milk, 3 slices strawberries.
This time it came out MUCH better than the other two- I think the key is to cook the oats all the way first, and then add extra almond milk to mix the powder. Tasted like chocolate covered strawberries! Well, almost
I got some final organizing done in my room, grabbed and my meal # 2 before I got ready to meet up with my friend Danielle.
0% chobani, chopped nectarine. What did you expect?
I headed over to meet my friend Danielle at her new house. I got the full tour and we chatted for about an hour- it was nice to catch up! But she had to run, and I was getting hungry so I headed out. But I got LOST on the way out of her neighborhood! I had trouble getting there (she just gave me an address, no directions) and then getting out was hell! I kept going in circles and finally my dad, the human GPS helped me out. Thanks Dad!
I came home and cooked up lunch before my NEXT date…
Leftover sloppy joes, sandwich thin, carrots + tomaters
I met up with my twin cousins, who start their first day of college on Wednesday- they’re going to URI with me, so I volunteered to take them to get their books and show them where their classes were. We had lots of fun, got some good exercise in walking + carrying HUGE boxes full of $700 worth of books (grumble…) but really it was a nice time. W
I got HUNGRY though… and we stopped to get smoothies so I hoped I could choose a BFL friendly one. The smoothies are made with fresh/frozen fruit, fruit juice and fruit purees and then you can add boosters, etc. I chose the mango banana with whey protein… I’m sure the added juice added a bunch of carbs, but I got a small and don’t think it was really a cheat because it was frozen mango + banana + oj, plus the whey protein.
And it tasted amazing, of course!!
I came back home, lugged my books upstairs (more exercise!) and started on dinner.
I used this recipe:
from Cooking Light, omitted extras like orange juice because I love my salmon simple… and voila! A delicious dinner, it took me less than 20 minutes too!

My salmon doesn’t look as pretty, but the recipe was fabulous. The slaw was SPICY, but it paired nicely with the savory, salty salmon.
Dessert is going to be the usual- cheesecake (aka cottage cheese + yogurt)
I’m off to glance through my new books- I love back to school, I’m such a geek!
Did you guys like back to school as a kid/college student, or did you dread it?
I love getting supplies + new books, but I’m not always thrilled about the impending work!!
