Eating a banana every day is the new apple a day! We love bananas. In fact, I can’t keep them in the house between grocery trips. Dole is launching a campaign called” “366 Ways To Go Bananas in 2012”. They have the funniest ideas for ways you could “Go Bananas” every day this year! Here are few I liked:
5 Thur, Jan 05 Polish your leather shoes with a banana peel
57 Sun, Feb 26 Take a picture of your banana and make it your Facebook profile picture.
and others like, Put a banana in your pocket for later, revive the lost art of banana juggling, Practice your tattoo skills on an unsuspecting banana. (Tattoo artists actually do this.)
Ha ha.. I think these are great ideas!
Bananas are a great addition to your families diet! They contain:
3 grams of fiber each.
Bananas are a great source of potassium, which is effective in regulating blood pressure.
They are a great source of vitamin C
They are a good source of manganese which helps with metabolic function.
We have some favorite ways to eat bananas, but here is one of our favorite desserts! We call it Banana Cream Cakes! They are simply: strawberry shortcake steps down to bananas. We like slicing bananas and sandwiching them in between the shortcake, or just throwing it altogether in a dessert dish. (They are easier to eat that way!)
