Ginger for Motion Sickness

Posted by Nirmala N.

Motion sickness is a regular complaint of people on transatlantic flights or cruises, but you don't have to pop Dramamine pills to get rid of the queasiness. Five hundred milligrams of raw or powdered ginger, taken a half-hour before your departure, stimulates digestive tract receptors and helps to release the hormone serotonin, which eases you out of that yucky, dizzy feeling. Simply keep up with the ginger every three to four hours, and you're sure to feel a marked difference.
