Grind up miraculous flax for fiber and more.



Flaxseed benefits include:
They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. They contain soluble fiber. This is the type of fiber that helps your digestive processes along. They contain lignans, a beneficial type of plant-derived substance. The oils they contain contribute to digestive regularity by lubricating your system. Flaxseeds, which come from the flax plant, are also a rich source of vitamins and minerals, which make them a great addition to your diet.


Flax and I, have been long time friends. I started off using ground flax a few years back and love putting it in my beloved bowls of oats.



Scottish Flax Oats Topped with Fresh Berries and Almonds
1/4 cup of Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oats  1 cup water 1 tbsp ground flax seeds 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Combine above ingredients in a small pot and cook over medium heat for 4-6 minutes.  Top with:
Blueberries Raspberries 1 tbsp sliced almonds drizzle of honey sprinkle of ground flaxseed



This breakfast always brings a smile to my face and is such a great way to start the day!
The last day of school is tomorrow and I am invited to attend the Coffee House party at school and then we are invited to an End of The Year Party!
I can't believe the school year is over.  Wow.
