It’s true I had two lunches today. But in my defense both were small and both were so delicious I couldn’t resist.
My entire lunch extravaganza was bookended by Anne’s Famous Mint Brownies. You might have noticed that everything Max’s Mom makes is titled Anne’s Famous ________, and that’s because she’s that great of a cook. Everything she makes is famous, to me anyways.
Because I felt like I was eating brownies rather than food I made myself a simple turkey and Julesburg sandwich on sourdough bread.
My sandwich had mustard, romaine lettuce, jarlesburg and deli turkey. That’s it! I wasn’t kidding when I said simple.
I paired my sandwich with two clementines. It was a party in my tummy, apparently.
We all thought this was quite cute.
After eating Max’s Aunt Susie and I played Russian Bank, this really intense solatare game that needs two people.
It was pretty fun. Susie won even though we got stuck because she has less cards at the end. Grr…
While we were playing Max and the rest of the family started making their lunches from leftovers. I smelled the twice baked potatoes instantly. I had to find room for a half.
I’m a picky twice baked potato girl. I really don’t like my aunts. But these were yum-o. I’m really stuffed now, but it’s worth it.
After my potato I cut myself another super tiny sliver of mint brownie.
They really are tiny. Anne cuts them smaller than the mini brownie bites from Costco. Hence no guilt when bookending lunch with them .
See ya for dinner! Keep up the relaxin’ this weekend.
