Feta Hummus Turkey Burger and Crunchy Slaw + Holey Donuts Giveaway

Posted May 14 2009 5:59pm

Good Evening!

I hope all of you Grey's Anatomy Fans are getting geared up for the big finale. I know that I am! Thank the lord for DVR, because I won't have my kids to bed by 8:00pm and it is not the kind of show that is appropriate for young little eyes and ears.

Dinner tonight was soo good! I have not had a turkey burger in a while and was hoping to have one at Fatburger in Tempe, but never made it over there. I fell in love with Fatburger when I lived in L.A. and really have never found a better burger place since. I am not a big hamburger eater but if I am going to indulge then this is the place to do it! And they make the best turkey burgers! So I must have have had Turkey Burgers on the brain because I could not wait to eat dinner and these turned out FANTASTIC!

Feta Hummus Turkey Burger

1 package Lean Ground Turkey
1/4 cup of Feta Cheese
3 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
Fresh Ground Pepper

Grill burgers for about 7-8 minutes per side. Remove from grill and let sit for 5 minutes. Place burgers on whole wheat bun and top with:

1 tablespoon Hummus

Crunchy Slaw

1 cup Mann's Sunny Shores Broccoli Cole Slaw
1/2 cup of Matchstick Carrots
dressed with 1/2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
Dash of Olive Oil

Yum! I must have been really hungry because I devoured this meal! I usually serve this in half a Whole Wheat Pita but was out of Pita Bread but give it a try, either works.

I am looking forward to my Rhubarb Crisp. I baked it and then chilled it. I like to eat it cold, but again it would be delicious heated up with a scoop of Vanilla Frozen Yogurt.
