Feature Food Friday: Celery

Lately a very reliable snack for me is celery & peanut butter
I get to check off a serving of veggies & protein in one shot
not to mention it usually tastes like a sweet treat to me ;)

Here are the health benefits of celery
  • lowers blood pressure
  • contains 8 cancer combat compounds
  • contains vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 & C
  • while most veggies lose some nutrients during cooking, celery holds onto most
  • helps lower cholesterol
  • assists in colon & digestive problems
  • helps curb your cravings for sweet food
  • celery juice acts as the perfect post-workout tonic, it replaces electrolytes and re hydrates the body with rich minerals

Sounds great! I know celery is a bit much to just eat plain,
