Some good people over at Eat Shrink and Be Merry sent me a copy of their cookbook to review! Well, I wasn’t disappointed at all when it came. There are so many great recipes in this book. They have fun trivia all throughout the book, as well as health questions answered, funny comics and jokes all throughout. Best of all, there are several recipes I know my kids will try. They have crazy names for every dish like Strawberry Snortcakes, Loaf Potion #9, The Grill of my Dreams, Tartlett O’Hara, and many more. They have a video on their site where they make Banana Roll-ups for your kids! Their recipes are healthy and easy. Check them out.
I hardly ever walk into a major bookstore. It’s too difficult for me. Sometimes I think, “why buy cookbooks, you can find any recipe you need online?” But then I see a cookbook with fabulous pictures, and great ideas, and I go weak in the knees. Literally start drooling. I am a total sucker for a cookbook with pictures. However, I do find lot’s of great cookbooks at DI (our local thrift store). Then I only pay fifty cents to a dollar. I take them home, and cut out the recipes I think we’ll like and put them in my binder and toss the rest of the book.
GIVEAWAY! Do you have a favorite cookbook? Post your favorite healthy cookbook in the comments, or what you look for when you buy a cookbook (like pictures) and I will choose a random winner to recieve a 96 page Vegetarian cookbook with some great recipes. You have until Sunday (the 14th) night to post a comment. Because Monday I have another giveaway!
