5 Stars Great coffee!
I was so excited to find this product as it is hard to find. If you like hot, hot coffee, this is the coffee pot to use. THe only drawback is that the plastic percolator top will eventually melt due to the heat and will need to be replaced. I’m not sure the tops that Amazon advertises will fit this one as the top is a smaller one than most. I have in the past ordered the replacement tops from Faberware themselves. The pot itself will last for years. Ours is at least 10 years old. I bought this one for my son.

2 Stars High maintenance!
Purchased this instead of a big coffee contraption. It is terrible. Or maybe it just requires more time and patience than I have, prior to my first cup of coffee. I couldn’t really tell when the coffee was done. The directions say to remove the grinds before pouring… huh?? The pot is very hot and impossible to remove the grinds. I ended up with a bitter cup of coffee. I definitely don’t have the patience for this thing – although I’m sure I could figure it out through trial and error eventually. I’m going to get a French coffee press instead.

5 Stars Great percolator
I bought this percolator for use in our motorhome based on other Amazon reviewers recommendations. It works great, looks good, doesn’t break and the handle doesn’t get hot on a propane stove burner.

5 Stars Perky!
Had to replace the old Farberware percolator, but liked that one enough to try the brand again. So far, so good! Love it.

4 Stars Pleased with the quality but disappointed with the details….
After researching (for what seemed to be months) on which stovetop percolator would best suit my needs, I decided to give this one a try. Considering part of my criteria for my new coffee maker was to have a glass top, I was disappointed to see that it has a plastic one. I must say that Amazon was quick to send a replacement but the replacement also had a plastic top. During this process, I decided to accept the fact that the description on Amazon’s site was wrong and search for a GLASS replacement top. I found one but it was an additional $7.00 through EBAY (after shipping) bringing my cost of this maker up to about $27.00. As far as the quality of the product, I have nothing to compare it to since it’s my first percolator but I love the results. Coffee has a whole new meaning now that I’m no longer using an electric drip. Even though it takes about twice as long to get my morning cup, the quality makes it all worth while. If you wet the basket before putting coffee into it, grinds NEVER seep through the basket and into the brew. I love that all the parts of the percolator are stainless steel (except for the handle). There is one thing that doesn’t seem to function properly and that’s when you make more than 6 cups, coffee spits out of the spout during the perking process. This causes quite a mess. Fortunately, we rarely make more than 6 cups so it’s not a big deal for my family.

If you decide to try this percolator, remember it DOES NOT have a glass top and Amazon can not send a glass top replacement. You will have to buy one at your own additional expense. Also, even though the description states that it’s an 8 cup percolator, coffee will spit out of the spout if you brew more than 6 cups.
