Fall Hikes and a New Meal Plan

We found a new strategy to get our stubborn one to head out on a hike without complaining.  We made her a photographer!  (It was a better approach than the time we paid her not to complain ).  But, how can you resist these fall colors?   Exposing kids to the outdoors, is a great for their health, even if you don’t hike or exercise in the outdoors. Simply being outdoors

  • relieves stress in kids,
  • heightens memory, and
  • even improves attention spans. 

So, even if we have to bribe our kids to get them out on the trail, they are always glad they came. Stewart Falls Hike Erica

Stewart Cascade Trail

For Utah locals, Stewart Falls is a 4 mile round trip hike, with terrain that is easy to navigate.  We started immediately passed the toll booth on the Provo Canyon side of Alpine Loop.  The parking lot is to the south west of the toll booth.  You can also catch the Timpanogos Trail from the same parking lot.

Once we got to the falls, the kids wanted to get wet. So they walked straight across the water, and they got very, very wet.  

I loved seeing all the kids and families and their dogs on the trail.  My kids counted 23 dogs! Stewart Falls Waterfall

So, don’t let fall end without catching some of it’s beauty and take your kids outside! Anywhere!!
