Eats, Eats, and More Eats

This morning I did a quick mini workout (if you can even call it that) which was basically 60 kneeling push-ups and 50 sit-ups. Just to get my body moving. Then I did some stretching because my legs are so so tight. The doctors don’t warn you how much of a workout using crutches really is. I can seriously feel it in my arms and right leg. I am worried about my legs since my right leg keeps getting all the muscle use. I can already tell it is more defined, but my left leg is losing it. I’m trying to do exercises laying down for my left leg to keep some of the muscle. A lot of people have been recommending cycling or swimming, but because the stress fracture is right in the middle of my ankle, I am not allowed to use my left foot or ankle at all. Meaning anything that involves feet is out for me. With cycling you are putting pressure on your foot everytime you peddle, and with swimming your ankle is moving back and forth to paddle. So I appreciate all of the advice, but swimming and cycling is a no go.

Here are my eats real quick…

Breakfast was a favorite for me. I toasted a Light English Muffin and topped it with my favorite combination: Peanut Butter and pumpkin butter. On the side was some naners and strawberries. And I enjoyed a hot mug of tea this morning. Ginger tea to be exact from my trip to China Town.

You can still use a snowman plate in January right?


The ginger tea was very interesting and I really enjoyed it.

Lunch was a whole wheat LIGHT wrap stuffed with leftover slices of beef, veggies from last night, fresh spinach, a little balsamic dressing, and one wedge of Laughing Cow Lite cheese. I love how this cheese is portioned out for you. That way you only open what you need and your done.


The wrap itself was absolutely disgusting and tasted weird, but the rest was delicious.

Later I had some carrots and more balsamic on the side for dipping.

Later I snacked on this AH-MAZ-ING trail mix that I made myself. Into the mix went:

  • 1/4 C raw Almonds
  • 1/8 C organic dark chocolate chips
  • Newman’s Own Organics dried apricots
  • Newman’s Own Organics dried cranberries
  • dried cherries


Such a great little snack for the afternoon munchies.

I have been loving all of the Newman’s Own Organics products that they sent me. I ate the pretzels and soy crisps with out even taking a picture because they were so good! I highly recommend the soy crisps.

I had the Lightly Salted and BBQ flavor, but I would LOVE to try the white cheddar. I was a huge fan of these. For a snack they are loaded with protein and taste pretty good too! I also really loved the spelt pretzels. Before I knew it, those babies were GA-GA-GONE!

So thank you again to the people over at Newman’s Own Organics for the package of amazing goodies because I have enjoyed every single one thus far.
