Eat, work, nap

Posted Oct 07 2009 10:03pm

Humpday has arrived! Phew. Just as my week is starting to pick up… it’s already half over!

I woke up today and headed in the rain to the gym. Armed with my J Crew Wellies + my North face rain coat…. it was still wet and gross, but at least I was dry.

Did an awesome UBWO, showered and downed this baby on the way to class-
2009_0524AL Yum yum yum. Banana Cream at it’s best.

In between classes I studied + had some 0% chobani mixed with 1/2 c kashi go lean. typical.

But AFTER my classes I had the star meal of the day…

I used leftover ‘meat’ballz + LCL + organic ketchup on a low carb wrap…

Topped it with a shitload whole bunch of spinach…

Wrapped it up and served it with a mini fresh macintosh apple.

See, THIS is the kind of healthy carbs + protein + veggieful + fiberific meal I would put together for myself. Not BFL-perfect, but healthy and very balanced. And it keep me FULL!

I did more studying (and, ahem, blog reading) in the library before I met my group to work on our lab project. I was a starvin’ marvin on the way home so I snacked on this gem…

Just as good the second day around!! Healthy carrot muffin from yesterday’s lab. I gave the second one I brought home to my momma, she enjoyed it thoroughly =)

I did some more reading and took a nap  this afternoon… I am NOT a big fan of naps, but I’ve been so exhausted lately they’re just the boost of energy I need!!

Dinner was a new recipe from the October issue of Fitness Magazine.
2009_0525AB Turkey + White Bean chili.

It looks more liquidy here than it really was- that sauce was very thick and chili like. I topped it with cilantro and it was divine! With some extra brussels sprouts on the side…

Dinner was served!

I gobbled this up and got talking to my mom about pregnancy nutrition… studying for my Nutrition in the Lifecycle exam tomorrow? Check!

Now I  am relaxing with a mug of Tazo Sweet Cinnamon tea and my meal #6… a Stonyfield Organic Black Cherry yogurt. I much prefer these ORGANIC yogurts with REAL ingredients over those yucky artificial ones I was eating. Where did my brain go for the last month?!?! I am feeling much better now =)

For some final fun, my girl Janetha is having a sweet giveaway!
Go check it out!

Night Night
