Except for the Current ‘Mostly Sunny’ forecast. It’s obviously raining and gusty outside my window. But that’s okay, it’s more important to be right in in the extended forecast in my mind.
Due to rain I made a foodie favorite. Oats!
I made Chocolate Candy Cane Oats and Crème Brule Coffee. Holy Decadence!
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup Chocolate Peppermint Stick soy milk
1/4 cup water
pinch milled flax seeds
1 vanilla Special K Bar
About a month ago I entered a Foodie Secret Santa Tina was holding. We had to e-mail our name, blog, and three things about ourselves. Then Tina randomly assigned different bloggers to each other. It gave me the change to read a cool new blog. My blogger I’m shopping for is super cool. Makes gift buying so much harder.
The gift I’m sending is going all the way to New York! I’m shipping it Monday with some very important cookies in it.
When I arrived home from my blogger meet up yesterday this was waiting for me on the damp doorstep.
I knew instantly it had to be my blogging Secret Santa! So I ripped it open.
Look at all this loot! My Secret Santa is Naomi from One Fit Foodie . She sent me Coffee from Café Britt, a coffee company that her uncle owns, pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting (holy yum!), pink fuzzy socks perfect for my ankle, and peppermint bark (holy holy yum yum!)
The first thing I did was break into the peppermint bark.
Then I broke into the pumpkin muffins. She sent a few without frosting and some with. She made pumpkin muffin whoopies it looks like.
I’m so excited for these socks. They are ‘just what the doctor ordered’! Naomi this is probably the most perfect gift I’ll receive this season! Thank you!

Today should be pretty low key. We have lunch with grandma, then some down time. There is a Christmas Program/Cookie Eating/Dance around the Tree get-together at the Church tonight. And my best friend Lee J is home from school and I might try to go see him after. Sounds like a good rainy day to me.
