The inspiration for this wellness-focused, personal-development show came about, because 10 years ago, on April 15, 1998, I kicked sugar and became "reborn."
Given that I'm in a jublilant, celebratory, playful mood because of conquering my sugar addiction and becoming and totally changing my life, I wanted to come up with a program to help you become the best you can be.
So now I'm bringing as many experts as possible to help you triumph over your addictions, challenges and frustrations; make your dreams come true, and create a fabulous life for yourself.
Since I know you're all short on time, I came up with a format where you could get good information quickly. That's why this fun, healthy, human-potential, wellness-focused show will be run in a playful spirit in a speed-dating-style format. I'll be conducting speed interviewing, if you will. (You can always delve deeper into a subject and buy the experts' books later, too.)
The acclaimed Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa -- who is known as "America's # 1 Brain Longevity expert" -- will offer valuable information about the power of meditation and stress-reduction techniques to unwind and live longer. Dr. Khalsa has achieved acclaim as the author of such bestselling books as Meditation as Medicine and Brain Longevity.
The much-lauded, inspirational, bestselling author Dr. Bernie Siegel -- who has motivated millions with Love, Medicine & Miracles; Love,Love, Magic & Mud Piesand other books -- will tell you how to love yourself and stop self destructive and addictive behavior that relate to negative messages from parents and others.
The much-respected nutritionist J.J. Virgin, Ph.D., C.N.S., C.H.F.I. -- the on-air nutritionist for Dr. Phil's "Weight Loss Challenge" -- will offer some tips on how to kick sugar and peel off the pounds.
