Don't forget your breakfast!

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day! In a recent survey by the National Weight Control Registry, it was shown that 78 percent of 2,959 members (all of whom lost a minimum of 30 pounds and kept the weight off for at least a year) ate breakfast every day, while 90 percent ate breakfast at least four days a week. Nutritionists suggest that eating early in the day, soon after waking up, will fire you up for your day and keep you from eating too much at lunch. If you start your metabolism early in the day, this means you start burning calories sooner, too. Nutritionists also say that a substantial breakfast (20 to 25 percent of your day's calories) will help reduce cravings and overeating.
