We are on Spring Break in Bend, OR! We are having a great time exploring a new part of Oregon. The topography is completely different from Portland- high desert. We have been running, riding bikes, swimming and enjoying some much needed chill time.
I also have been getting A LOT of questions about my upcoming Detox and wanted to take the time to share my answers with you in case you have them too.
First: Detox is NOT a dirty word! It’s about letting go of what doesn’t serve your body anymore (emotionally and physically) and reclaiming your power!
1. Life gets in the way of a healthy and nutritional lifestyle. While we might be motivated when we begin, it’s easy to fall back into old habits. 2. Even though I believe in simple and gentle detoxes, detoxing can be tough to do on your own. This program is designed to give you the support you need as you go through the process. 3. Having gone through several detoxes, I often found I had questions along the way and wished I had a coach I could go to for direction. 4. I want you to learn from the mistakes I have made during the detoxes I have done in the past. I also want to share systems I have developed to simplify the process. Why should you have to reinvent the wheel? 5. Detoxing is a very effective way to create long-term changes, but most people don’t know how to effectively use a detox to creating lasting changes.

Will I be hungry on the detox?
This question comes up a lot because we are all used to the deprivation that comes with dieting. This detox is not about putting you on a calorie restrictive diet. It is about feeding your body delicious, nourishing food that will satiate you. While you may feel a little hungry the first 2 days, you can always add in one of the filling snack options that are in your recipe guide.
Will I have to eat strange foods that I have never heard of before?
This detox is all about keeping it simple. Many of the foods will be familiar to you, but I will also introduce you to some new ingredients and recipes that will become favorites of yours even after the detox.
You will be able to pick and choose which foods and recipes you want to eat during the detox. You can stick with the foods you know, or you can choose to be a little adventurous and try something new. It’s totally up to you!
What if I don’t have any fancy kitchen equipment?
The recipes on the detox can be made quickly and easily with the pots and pans you have in your kitchen. You won’t need to buy any kitchen gadgets that require instructions on putting them together.
I’m on the go all of the time. Is a detox for me?
I am busy mom and business owner, so I understand busy! I have designed this detox to work with a busy lifestyle.
If you usually eat out or eat prepared foods, you will have to spend some extra time in the kitchen. You will receive your detox recipes and meal plan a few days before the detox starts so you can go food shopping and do food prep the weekend before the detox starts.
I should also mention that this detox not only allows you to lose the weight, but it the first thing you will notice is a boost in your energy level. This means you’ll be more productive and have more energy for cooking, exercising, and taking care of yourself.
