Remember when I bought my cast-iron pan a few months ago? I have been so happy with it! Well, this Pan Pizza was the perfect way to use it.
I started with my Whole Wheat Pizza Dough recipe. After a short 20-30 minute rise time, I spread it in my cast iron pan that I coated with olive oil and corn meal.
Next, I sprinkled some mozzarella cheese for the bottom layer.
then I topped with the veggies. I used:
Broccoli
red peppers
tomatoes (from a can)
Olives
Then I stuck the whole pan into the oven at 475 and baked it for about 15 minutes. I think it turned out delicious!
The kids somewhat turned up their noses at the presence of “So many vegetables.” But in the end, they ate it anyway!
