I think I’ve mentioned before that Jason and I don’t work the same hours so we don’t have the same times off. Except for Friday nights. So Friday night has been deemed Date Night. Restaurant.com was having a sale a few weeks ago where you could get a $25 gift certificate for $2! We ended up buying one for Parker’s on Ponce and went there last night. This restaurant is, from what I gather, relatively new and at 9pm, it had quite a few patrons but wasn’t crowded. The ambiance was nice. It was sort of cozy with a fireplace. I had two glasses of Savignon Blanc and the Ahi Tuna. It was very good. Jason got a steak with Merlot mushrooms, also very good. (So he said, I don’t eat steak, but the mushrooms were good.) My tuna came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Asparagus is not, by any means, my favorite vegetable but this was tasty. I’d say I ate 3/4 of the tuna, 1/2 the mashed potatoes, 1/2 the asparagus and a bunch of Jason’s mushrooms. I also had half of a dinner roll.
After dinner, we tried to walk across the street to The Brickstore but it was too crowded so we ended up going to Kroger and renting Pineapple Express and going home to watch. Of course, I fell asleep before the movie ended!
