On one hand, you can fill up on water-high veggies like cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, celery. On the other hand, people like Eileen Ford advise models not to eat too much of anything, because if you eats loads of anything, even low-calories stuff, your stomach will stretch out.
Prevention came up with 100 ways to cut calories. The following are some really good ones from their list:
For Breakfast:
Use a small glass for juice (Shelley’s personal note: don’t be afraid to cut the juice with water too!) and a small bowl for cereal.
Fill your omelet with onions, peppers, spinach and mushrooms instead of cheese and meat.
For Lunch/Dinner:
Stuff a pita pocket with more vegetables, less meat and cheese.
Eat slowly to make meals last and reduce your urge for second helpings.
For Snacks:
Freeze grapes or watermelon wedges for a popsicle-like treat.
Control your portions by pouring an individual serving of pretzels or chips into a bowl instead of eating from the bag.
