Happy Friday, everyone!! Excited for the weekend?

Thanks for all the congratulatory wishes on my last post. Whew! Sorry if I missed anyone – I didn’t mean to! If those people aren’t a good reason to join Twitter, I don’t know what is. It’s so much fun to converse with your friends and share information that way.

In honor of my race TOMORROW, I have been keeping to my normal dietary regimen of plenty of carbs :) You all know how I love my whole grains! For breakfast this morning, I broke out the gigantic cereal bowl: 1.5 cups Nature’s Path Puffs with 1.5 cups Kashi Go Lean. I topped everything with 1 tbsp. flax and had it with 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Perfect.


The flowers in the background are from my college bestie. She sent me them in honor of my grandma. She lives in The Big Apple now and I miss her every day!

Yesterday’s lunch also had the carbo-loading theme. I headed to my all-time favorite baguette provider, Panera. I picked up a Fuji Apple Chicken salad (dressing on the side) and a healthy-sized dough ball:)


And as if that weren’t enough, my office is always ready and willing to provide ample opportunity to indulge my carb cravings. Every Friday is “Bagel Friday” in our office halls, which has now grown and expanded to include bagels, doughnuts AND muffins. I typically have already eaten breakfast by the time I arrive, but it’s nice to know the opportunity is there :)

This week, I also had the chance to help design the layout for a “Twupcake,” as part of an event we did this week that discussed Twitter. I snagged one for the camera!


Cute, right? Buttercream frosting is way too delicious for its own good.

Weekend Plans

  • Friday night: Shop for a race outfit (hey, it’s a special occasion!)
  • Saturday morning: RUN!!!!!! I’m going to make a video at brunch!
  • Saturday night: Hang out with another college bestie
  • Sunday: Visit grandma and Papa Bender & Co.

Should be another busy one! What are your plans?
