I have had a cold since last Friday night. BEFORE Friday night I had not had a cold for almost a year and a half before this (thank you google calendar for that info). I’ve been trying everything to get a little comfort and just beat back da cold. Yea, I’m channeling my inner Jersey Shore. The past few days have been filled with the following:

A few bites of some hearty oatmeal…

A little bit of homemade chili…

A lot of liquid goodness…

A CRAPLOAD of supah cold water…

Some classic tomato soup with a little surprise…

And a few random combos…

Finally last night I decided that Korky and I had been cooped up long enough. A little relaxing in the backyard was much needed.

The leave changing is in full effect…

And my constant companion was in doggie bliss being outside. I promise this is his excited face.

This is not so excited face. See the difference? (PS. Treat in my hand for #1, Treat NOT in my hand for #2. Greedy lil dog. )

I am happy to report that after a week of rest, comforting things, and a little TLC, I think I am on the mend. Just in time for a fun weekend!
