5 Stars Cooking Light Cookbook
This cookbook is an excellent book with low cal recipes. I first tried it out at the library and every recipe I made was delicious. I knew I had to own a copy myself.

4 Stars Quick and easy — soups, at least
I haven’t tried out that many of the recipes, mostly just the soups — which are tasty.

5 Stars Very useful
As you would expect, these recipes use leaner cuts of meats and seafoods, but the variety is so vast, you don’t run out of new ideas. Some recipes were better than others–for me, the Margarita-braised chicken thighs, sauteed boneless pork chops with tomato-sage pan sauce, and pork with curried orange sauce, very tasty. It’s all about the added condiments/seasonings/flavorings that make these dishes seem better by the sum of their parts. I will swap out pork for chicken and vice verse if I liked that particular recipe b/4, no sweat. I like too that altho’ this book focuses on the main protein portion of the meal, it gives side dishes too–one for each meat recipe listed, so you have plenty of sides to cook too, ones you can mix and match. I have yet to try many more tagged recipes.

We gave this to a family member as a present. Of course they said they liked it, but they wouldn’t tell us if it was bad since it was a gift.

I bought this book a week ago and I have lost 4 pounds so far and do not feel deprived. I will definitely be recommending this book. They take a little more prep time to prepare then my normal dinners but it is well worth it to me. Im trying new things that I would have never attempted to make and they are so yummy. So so glad I bought this book! My husband is loving it too he has lost 5 pounds so far in a week.
